The Urban Lounge was opened in Mount Maunganui in 2002 by Sally and Andy Lines to complement our well-established interior design consultancy (Fresco Interiors).  Today, our business is structured into three main divisions as follows:

The Urban Lounge Design Store
This inspirational furniture and interiors showroom and store is based at 3 Newton Street in Mount Maunganui.  We feature a range of products sourced from some of NZ's most sought-after furniture manufacturers, plus we have fabrics from specialist international furnishing companies.  We pride ourselves on being very approachable and solution-focused. We can help you pinpoint your style, inspire you with our own ideas and source customised furniture to fit your space and your lifestyle.  We are open six days a week and with this new website, you can now shop with us online 24/7. 

Boutique Design Service
This division offers individual coordinated furniture packages just for you - featuring furniture, lighting, accessories and everything in between.  With our boutique service, we never create the same furniture package twice - so you truly are getting a package that is unique and designed specifically with you in mind.  Once the design process is complete, we arrange manufacture, delivery and installation (all with substantial savings on normal retail prices). 

Contract Division
The Urban Lounge is a leader in the procurement and installation of customised furniture and packages for commercial developments.  From cafes to holiday parks, to multiple apartment fit-outs, we take care of every detail from tailor-made furniture to cutlery, to linen.  Using our team of experience designers, we coordinate a look to complement and enhance the chosen architectural design, taking location and the environment into account.  Just as with our Boutique Design Service, the design service for Contract clients is completely free of charge.  Tell us about your project and we'll put some ideas together to create the look you want at competitive commercial prices.
